By car

Visitors travelling long distances may wish to use Tower and Crystals Camper Van Park
(click here) right next to the museum for excellent camper van pitches.

Coming from Lake Constance:

Leave the A81 from Singen to Stuttgart at the second Rottweil exit (junction 34).
Turn right onto the B462 towards Balingen/Tübingen.
After approx. 2 km, take the northern bypass B27/B14 (Rottweil north slip road, towards Balingen/Tübingen).
At the first roundabout, take the second exit, then at the second roundabout, take the first exit, continuing towards Balingen/Tübingen.
After the new Neckar bridge, take the first exit on the right towards Dietingen (Balinger Strasse).
After 500 m take a right and then after approx. 3 km, you will find our museum on the right, just as you enter the village proper.

Coming from Stuttgart (version 1):

Leave the A81 from Stuttgart to Singen at the Oberndorf exit (junction 33).
At the motorway exit, go left towards Oberndorf and after 500 m, at the roundabout (before entering Bochingen), take the third exit towards Trichtingen.
Continue through Böhringen to Dietingen. Drive through Dietingen itself. Our museum is on the left just after the sign marking the edge of Dietingen.

Coming from Stuttgart (version 2):

Leave the A81 from Stuttgart to Singen at the Rottweil exit (junction 34).
Turn right onto the B462 towards Balingen/Tübingen.

Take the B27 (via Hechingen, Balingen, Schömberg, Neukirch) up to the first Rottweil exit (before the large Neckar bridge) and turn left towards Dietingen (Balinger Strasse).
After 500 m take a right and then after approx. 3 km, you will find our museum on the right, just as you enter the village proper.

Coming from Offenburg/Schramberg:

Take the B462 from Schramberg to Rottweil in the direction of Balingen/Tübingen.
Continue on the northern bypass B27/B14 (Rottweil north slip road, towards Balingen/Tübingen).
At the first roundabout, take the second exit, then at the second roundabout, take the first exit, continuing towards Balingen/Tübingen.
After the new Neckar bridge, take the first exit on the right towards Dietingen (Balinger Strasse).
After 500 m take a right and then after approx. 3 km, you will find our museum on the right, just as you enter the village proper.

Coming from Tuttlingen:

Take the B14 towards Rottweil.
Take the bypass towards Balingen/Tübingen.
Take the northern bypass B27/B14 (Rottweil north slip road, towards Balingen/Tübingen).
At the first roundabout, take the second exit, then at the second roundabout, take the first exit, continuing towards Balingen/Tübingen.
After the new Neckar bridge, take the first exit on the right towards Dietingen (Balinger Strasse).
After 500 m take a right and then after approx. 3 km, you will find our museum on the right, just as you enter the village proper.

Coming from Donaueschingen:

Take the B27 towards Rottweil.
Take the bypass towards Balingen/Tübingen.
Take the northern bypass B27/B14 (Rottweil north slip road, towards Balingen/Tübingen).
At the first roundabout, take the second exit, then at the second roundabout, take the first exit, continuing towards Balingen/Tübingen.

By public transport

- Trains come from the direction of Stuttgart and Singen towards Rottweil almost every hour.
- Exit the train at Rottweil station.
- From there, you can get to the museum by bus, private taxi or pool minibus.

- If you decide to take the bus, you can ask the driver if they could stop outside the museum for you.

In summer, the walk is pleasant. It takes about 1 hour to walk the 5.5 km from the train station to the museum (click here).
